Activities of Department of Anaesthesia includes-

·         Giving Anaesthesia in Operation Theatre.

·         Pre-Anaesthesia check-up (PAC).

·         Supervision and optimization of post-operative patients in POW.

·         Provide Anaesthesia for various procedures in specified areas of NICRH like Radiotherapy, ERCP etc.

·         Establish Central Venous Canulation, Difficult Intravenous Canulation, Naso-gastric tube (NGT) insertion as per referral from both Surgical and Medical Departments of NICRH.

·         Anaesthesia for emergency surgical procedures (if needed) round the clock by special arrangement.

·         Anaesthesia related expert opinion for referred cases

The main objective and goal of the Department of Anaesthesia is to ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective medical care. The department maintains physiological stability of patients before, during, and after surgery, and provides essential anaesthetic support for various complex medical procedures.

5. To ensure round-the-clock emergency anaesthesia service when needed.

6. To offer expert consultation and technical assistance to other departments of NICRH.

7. To enhance healthcare quality through the application of modern anaesthesia technology and techniques.

8. To strengthen the anaesthesia team through continuous training, research, and skill development.
